Gretchen Wilson to headline MATS 2014
For the sixth consecutive year, the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) is proud to announce that the team behind Mobil Delvac™ heavy-duty diesel engine oil will present a free concert on Friday, March 28 for all MATS 2014 attendees.
The evening kicks off with Chris Hennessee, a talented singer, songwriter, and musician from Nashville, TN, who has recently opened for Jamey Johnson and toured the nation. Chris is sure to entertain with his gritty style of the classic country sound as he brings the Music City to Louisville. All in attendance will enjoy Chris’ soon-to-be hits, such as “Georgiana”, “Better Days” and the acoustically driven ballad, “Red Dress”.
Gretchen Wilson, the ACM, CMA, AMA, Billboard, and Grammy award-winning superstar will headline the free Mobil Delvac concert with songs spanning her storied career as one of the most influential female country music singers of the last decade. Performing her numerous top 10 hits, including “Redneck Woman”, “Here for the Party”, and “Homewrecker” along with material from her latest albums, “Right on Time” and “Under the Covers”, Gretchen will showcase the talent that previously earned her the Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, ACM Award for Top New Artist, and CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year, and why she was hand-selected to perform for attendees of the 2014 MATS.
“Once again, we’re excited to host another great line-up of country music stars,” said Toby Young, President of Exhibit Management Associates, producers of the Mid-America Trucking Show. “Mobil Delvac is bringing another great event to MATS and we know that our attendees will appreciate the free concert as much as MATS and Mobil Delvac appreciate them.”
The concert will be held on-site in Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Exposition Center immediately following the Friday edition of the Mid-America Trucking Show (March 28, 2014). Complimentary tickets will be distributed, while supplies last, from the Mobil Delvac Booth #18160 in the North Wing during show hours.
